At the sellers location) FOR SALE IS: A pair of Eosone RSF1000 speakers Each speaker has 2 10" subs- powered by a 200W amp in*each* speaker. Sold 'em years later when I moved on ebay and made money! Wish I had 'em again.Free Pick up. I bought a set from Best Buy when they were clearing them out and got a set of 'em for $250. Yeah, if you lose an amp (pretty common) you will be in hell trying to find a replacement part, but when these bad boys are working well, there is nothing to complain about. I forgot I owned these until i saw this post!
I've also heard of people reversing the connections to the rear drivers' binding posts to convert them from dipoles to bipoles, however I'm a bit wary of this actually working properly as I don't really know if both rear drivers are out of phase or just one. Removing the binding straps will disconnect the rear drivers, leaving you with monopoles instead of dipoles. Also, if I'm not mistaken, they have what look like bi-wirable/bi-ampable binding posts, but they're really not. One of the sub amps in my father's set blew and I WAS able to find him a replacement on Ebay several years ago. I CAN tell you that parts for them, should you need them, are VERY hard to come. Why do you want to replace them if you 'like them a LOT'? And as I said, 10 -15 year old speakers are NOT that old. The only Polk speakers that would even compare to your Eosones are the. The Eosones would wipe the floor with the R50s and eat them for breakfast. You are correct, the Polk R50s won't come anywhere close to the performance of your Eosone1000s.

I tried a digitial panasonic amp on them at once point but found the Eosone's are a bit dirty on power consumptiona and really suck up the juice.īarve Fasade Program here. There are dials on the rear for volume and crossover frequency related to the powered bass speakers I think. There are 2 1’’ tweeters, 1 4’’ mid, 2 6.5’’ mids, and 2 10’’ woofers one passive (your amp powers it) one powered that is built in. The thick reinforced MDF cabinet along with a total of 7 drivers per speaker and an integrated amp, results in each speaker weighing 93lbs. Want to use them as speakers with just my pioneer home stereo system.Īpparently they thought they had Audio King customers comparing speakers, as the retailed for $2400/pair. If you are unfamiliar with these speakers, Best Buy carried them at one time. Polk later took over the warranty for them. Polk supposedly sued a bunch of the companies involved in their manufacture which put Eosone out of business. From what I understand, the components inside are basically polk, who also handled the warranty once Eosone was no more.
